Cave City Georgia

The Cave City, is one of those must see places, it was made so that the people in the town could go there and hid from those who come over the border, to kill and plunder in the good old days, three thousand family live there at one time, now there is just a Georgian Monk, who look after the little church.

The church is one of the nice I have see for it age, they have not tried to, paint over the picture’s on the wall so it look’s new, it has just been patch to stop water getting in, every inch of the walls have been hand painted, the church is still in use to this day.

The Cave City is high in the side of the mountain and there are more steps then anyone ever want to walk up or down, but it is so worth the time to do it, for what you see when you look out and around you take your breath away.
