What would you do if i gave two Million Dollars

We were out to dinner the other night and one of the older men at the table ask us all a question, and it got most people think, so I through I would ask it of you all.

I’ve won millions of dollars in lotto, I want to give you each two million dollars, but there are rules for it use,

1. You must buy one thing for yourself, it must mean a lot to you, the cost of doesn’t matter, it just has to mean something to you,

2. You must give some money to two charities and these too must mean something to you, you have to have a reason for picking these two charities.

3. The rest is yours to do as you please with.

Some people knew right away what they would do with the money, some had to think, and I have to say the replies from some surprised me, not because I thought what they were saying was wrong or out of place, but because they look at the world in a very different way to me, and yes I have to say I learnt a lot about people I thought I knew and a lot about myself too.

What would I do with my two Million?

For me,

I would buy the first edition of a book call “For the Term of His Natural Life” by Marcus Clark it a book I’ve read many time and the copy I have now is very dog eared as it has a soft cover and many people have read it over the years.

My two Charities,

Eastern Child Welfare in Korea, for looking after our Children till they became ours and for looking after the many hundreds for children, who need their help,

And

The Flying Doctor, for they truly do save live every day of the year, I have seen what they do and I know people who are a live Thanks to the Flying Doctor and the wonderful job they do.

The left over Money

I would give a helping hand to my family and friend that need it

  1. If the 1st rule is that you HAVE to buy something for yourself that means something to you, then I would be unable to accept the money. Thinking of anything that would mean a lot to me, I could only come up with 1 answer and it can't be bought with money. Guess that takes care of the next 2 answers. I'm sorry but I guess you would just have to pass the money to someone else.

  4. This one is tough for me, Sue. I need to think about what I would buy for myself. The charities are easy: The Brock-Hughes Free Clinic which provides free medical care and medication for the needy in our area and the Southwestern Virginia Foodbank, feeding the hungry every day. The rest would pay for my kids and grandkids' college and buy a piece of land on a mountainside and that log home Frankie and I have always dreamed of.

I love this web page! You've done a great job!
